Rumour has it that the king himself became a frequent visitor to the hotel and entertained the beautiful Lilly Langtry here. Secret passages are said to exist between Cadogan Hotel and the king's quarters at Palace House. Since taking over the hotel in October 2002, Kevin and Julie Reed have undertaken a continual improvement programme.
